The Inaugural ceremony of 5 days’ workshop on Data Management and Analysis for Health Professionals was organized at the morning of first day (9th June, 2024) with honour of chief guest to Prof. Dr. Umesh Kumar Mandal and special guests to Dr. Rajendra BC (Former Research Consultant; Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC), Ramshahpath, Kathmandu, Nepal) with chairmanship of Campus Chief; Assoc. Prof. Shiv Mangal prasad. The chief guest, special guests and chairman expressed remarkable speech in the event. The welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Bijendra Shah and the programme was conducted by Dr. Sangita Maharjan.

• Day-1: The first and second session was delivered by Dr. Rajendra BC. Both sessions contain an Overview of Research Methods and Data Analysis Plan and quantitative survey, its tool design and coding pattern. Dr. Bishnu Marasini took the third session which contains recognizing variables and scales of measurement as appeared in the data collection tools. The last and fourth session was delivered by Prof. Naveen Shrestha which contains data analysis approaches as per the nature of the data, and study types; and introduction to different Software's used in data management and analysis.

• Day-2: Prof. Amita Pradhan Shakya took the first class which contains entry process, data editing and data cleaning and cleaning practice; and introductions to basic concepts of SPSS Software Packages. The second and third class was delivered by Prof. Naveen Shrestha which contains data management in SPSS-I (Find duplicate, Sort, Select and Weighted cases, Merge files, split files) and Data Management in SPSS (Practical) respectively. The last and fourth session on of the day was delivered by Asst. Prof. Shishir Poudel which contains Data Management in SPSS-II (Data transform: Compute variables, Recode into different variables and Rank cases)

• Day-3: Prof. Amita Pradhan Shakta took the first session on Uni-variate Analysis-I (Frequency and Descriptive with histogram with normal curve), the second session by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sijan Paudyal on Uni-variate Analysis-II (Explore with normality test and Cross-tab) and the third and fourth session by Prof. Naveen Shrestha Bi-variate Analysis-I (One sample, Independent and Paired t-test and their equivalent non-parametric test) and Uni-variate Analysis (Practical).

• Day-4: Asst. Prof. Shishir Poudel delivered the first and second lectures on Bi-variate Analysis-II (Chi-square and McNemar test) and Bi-variate (t-test, Chi-square and McNemar) Analysis (Practical) consecutively, the third and fourth sessions on Bi-variate Analysis – IV (Correlation: Pearson and Spearman and partial) and Bi-variate Analysis – III (Anova and equivalent non-parametric test) were taken by Prof. Naveen Shrestha consecutively.

• Day-5: Prof. Dr. Amita Pradhan delivered the first and second classes on Multivariate Analysis - I (Linear Regression) and Multivariate and Analysis - I (Linear Regression) –(Practical) consecutively. Likewise, Assoc. Prof. Shital Bhandary took the first and second sessions on Multivariate Analysis-II (Logistic Regression) and Multivariate Analysis-II (Logistic Regression): Practical consecutively at the end of the five days’ training workshop.

The closing ceremony of 5 days’ workshop on Data Management and Analysis was organized at the end of the last day (13th June, 2024) with honour of chief guest to Prof. Dr. Kedar Prasad Rijal and special guest to Prof. Dr. Dhanik Lal Bharkher with chairmanship of Campus Chief; Assoc. Prof. Shiv Mangal prasad. The chief guest, special guests and chairman expressed remarkable speech in the event. The welcome speech was delivered by Asst. prof. Dr. Sahara Shrestha and the programme was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Bharat Pathak; and the 5 days’ programme was reviewed by Dr. Bishundayal Prasad Patel.
